RFID & QR Code Reader PQ-510 | Multi-Format Compatibility & Output Verification

PQ-510 Multi-Format RFID / QR Code Reader

Multi-Credential Compatibility & System Integration Verification
In access control and equipment integration applications, readers must support multiple identification methods while maintaining stable and predictable output behavior across different credential formats. This consistency is critical to reducing system integration complexity and long-term maintenance effort.
PQ-510 is a multi-format reader that integrates RFID and QR Code / Barcode reading capabilities into a single device. It is designed to meet real-world project requirements where a single reader must support multiple identification methods while delivering consistent and reliable output to the system controller.
This video documents a sample-stage multi-format compatibility verification for the PQ-510. Through hands-on testing, the verification focuses on reading response behavior and output stability across different credential types within the same reader architecture, providing a practical reference for system integration and project deployment.

Test Procedure & Video Overview

In the video, engineers perform sequential reading tests using multiple identification methods, including 13.56MHz RFID cards (such as MIFARE and DESFire) as well as QR Code and Barcode formats (1D and 2D).
Due to differences in physical characteristics, data structures, and reading conditions, actual reading distance and response timing may vary among credential types. This test does not aim to compare precise distance values between credentials. Instead, it verifies that under fixed test conditions, the PQ-510 consistently completes identification and outputs correct, usable, and stable data formats, ensuring predictable system-side processing.

Engineering Value of Multi-Format Integration

The core design value of the PQ-510 lies in its ability to integrate multiple identification formats within a single reader architecture while maintaining consistent output behavior.
Regardless of whether the input credential is an RFID card or a QR Code / Barcode, the system controller only needs to handle a defined and stable output format (such as Wiegand 26 / 34 bits, RS-232, or RS-485, depending on model). This significantly reduces controller-side logic complexity and overall system integration cost, while improving reliability and maintainability in real-world deployments.

Test Purpose & Application Value

By conducting multi-format verification at the sample stage, system integrators and project engineers can evaluate the feasibility of the PQ-510 early in the project lifecycle, reducing risks associated with mass production and system deployment.
This verification approach is particularly suitable for access control systems, control panel integrations, and OEM / ODM projects that require both RFID and QR Code support, serving as a reliable reference for product selection and system design.
